“Belle” Watson

Her parents are the earliest ancestors that we can trace — they are in Georgia for part of their marriage, then in Alabama when some of their younger children are born.

“Belle” shows up in several records/legal documents, but the place of her birth is shown in Georgia in one set of records, and Alabama in another — did this family near close enough to the state line that when it shifted, between Georgia and Alabama, that they were in a different state, without moving their homestead or family?
